Went camping again this past weekend.  Had a pretty good time.  A 3 hour drive just into St. George, UT and then on to Pine Valley.  We took Lily with us, she’s such a good car dog.  Got there around 9 a.m. on Saturday and immediately discovered there was a creek that ran through the whole campground.  We spent a good portion of the day playing with Lily in the water.

The Shoes

The Shoes

This past weekend, myself and Scott’s Mom went around shopping so I could find a dress and shoes for Jessie’s wedding… which isn’t until September.  I found my dress at the first store, very lucky.  Got it at Dillards.  I wasn’t so successful at getting shoes.  Went to 8 or 9 different stores, ended at Kohls.  I bought a pair that I wasn’t too thrilled with to begin with and wound up returning them later.  I found the perfect pair online.  So now I just have to wait 5-7 business day before I get them.  Now I just have to get a pale pink ribbon to replace the dark brown one that is currently on the dress and I’ll be all set.

Went camping this past weekend. Froze.  Left early.  Other than the weather we had a pretty fun time.

Last weekend, Scott and I put in a doggie door for Lily.  It was a total pain, but totally worth it.  The door was solid wood and had spring loading hinges.  But, now Lily can be in the house during the day while we are at work.

Is there even such a thing?  I surely hope not.  There are enough seasons and holidays to be kept track off…

Anyway!  My cousin Jason got married this past Saturday to his long time girlfriend Tina.

Congratulations you two!  I hope you had a great wedding day and many great days to come.

This past Sunday, Mother’s Day, Scott and I and his Mom went hiking again up on Mount Charleston.  We took a different trail this time, and we also took Lily.

Got my water heater fixed, got a water softener installed, got my hair cut… it was a pretty good weekend.  Though, I think Scott might disagree since he either had to do the work or pay for it.  Thanks Babe!  It’s all done now, so we can finally relax.

Didn’t get to go hiking this weekend because of all that was going on but that’s alright, we’ll go next weekend.

In the meantime, it’s Monday.  Hmm… not sure how I feel about that.

Yesterday was my birthday.  I got a few cards and various gifts from people before hand.  Thanks a bunch!  However, the best present I got was the night before my birthday when our water heater went out.  Obviously that was sarcasm. So the day of my birthday I went to work as usual and had a pretty good day.  After work I spent the majority of my night hold up in our bedroom with Lily so she didn’t go berserk while the repair guy was inspecting our water heater.

He actually didn’t take too long, and it seems the problem is electrical (which is what Scott thought it was).  He is going to order the part for us, which is covered under our warranty, and will be back out on Saturday to install it.  Even though the part is covered, labor is still going to cost us a pretty penny as this company charges $139 an hour. In the meantime, we are utilizing the fact that Scott’s parents live so close by using their shower.

Happy Birthday to Me!
